inspired vs. copied

I suppose this topic is one of controversial measure. I know that I’ve been affected by it and I’m sure you or someone close to you has, too.
I used to have a very different view on this topic and handled it in the absolute wrong way. I would get angry and call whoever it may be out. It ended in bitterness and grudges…not a good way to live life OR run a business. After being encountered with it quite a few times, I decided to change the way I thought…you know, since the alternative (people being completely original) is highly unlikely. I am happier now and have taken certain copied images as compliments…to inspire someone else is the ultimate tip of their hat. So to anyone I have inspired, thank you for taking part in my journey.

Here are some photos of my favorite photographers that have inspired me. The first photo is theirs and the ones to follow are the photos I have reproduced as a result.

I was really captured by the rustic barn and the way she used the twilight to make the photo look soft and kind of dramatic.

The way they used this wall to add charm drew me to the pinky tones of a bridal.
